WHAT SHOULD MY RESULTS BE?

When your results come back from the Canterbury Health lab a low progesterone result would be anywhere from 0.1 to 1.5nmol/L, this is especially low if you are what is termed as estrogen dominant and are in your twenties/thirties.

The ideal range for a trans dermal cream user should be anywhere from 8 to 10nmol/L, although this can go much higher and still be normal for you.

If it does go much higher as sometimes the saliva results can do, it would be my recommendation to stop the cream and re test after a few months.

If the symptoms return during the rest period I would advise a lower dosage and retesting.

A woman of menopausal age will naturally be low in estrogen and progesterone with most levels returning around 0.5 to 1.8nmol/L,  a woman of this age around her late forties /mid fifties does need a lot of progesterone to control symptoms.

It is important to note that woman are individual, a trans dermal cream is likely to be absorbed faster if you are of slimmer build or smaller frame,  you  may need more cream if you are over weight or of a larger build.
